So i feel its very important at this stage to have a rough foresight of the future. What you see yourself in 10 years time and what will be your career aspirations? Ok...you may also encounter such questions during interview too if you to really join an established organisation. I encountered the latter qn during my interview too. Some qns to ponder....like what must i do or achieve in order to reach your desired career. The route to take to the final destination. Not forgetting most importantly you got to know yourself first! Positive and Negative points of yourself..ha! another interview qn. Do not lie to the interviewer just to get the job, as your performance later on will show it all.

I told my manager that I wanna be an Project Engineer@Defence Science & Technology Agency in the future.

Project Engineer (Armament Systems)

Responsibilities

You will be involved in project management and systems management work to bring leading-edge armament systems into the SAF. You will also sustain the armament systems in a cost-effective manner and manage the inherent safety risks.

Project Engineer (Guided Systems)

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the acquisition and integration of Guided Weapons (GW) systems for the SAF. You will also be involved in a wide variety of GW technology areas and conduct front-end engineering study, configuration designs and specification definition for GW. In addition, you will participate in the development, testing and acceptance of advanced weapon systems acquired by the SAF. You are required to work with other teams to interface and integrate the GW systems with other combat systems and platforms.

Requirements

Good Degree in Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical/Aeronautical/ Chemical Engineering
Able to understand a wide variety of engineering disciplines and integrate them into a total systems perspective
Strong analytical and management skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Dynamic and innovative
